Our eggs are not available for sale on-line. Our hens are in full production and eggs are readily available. If you have been wanting to try our eggs, now is a great time!
Our eggs are now available in several locations in Whatcom County. We are very excited to be partnering with great stores that are completely committed to providing local, sustainably produced, organic food. Romney wool
Romney wool has the finest fiber diameter of all the long wool breeds. The spinning count may run from 40 to 48 which is 38.0 to 31.0 microns. The fleece is lustrous; it hangs in separate locks, with minimal cross fibers between the locks. It is also high yielding and easily spun. Uniformity of crimp from the butt to the tip of a lock is also typical of the breed.
We have a small flock of Romney sheep, raised on organic pastures. They are professionally shorn annually. We have the wool available for sale as raw fleeces, washed fleece, washed and carded fleece and as finished wool.
Yarn
Recently, we had the opportunity to have some of our wool professionally spun into beautiful, natural colored 2-ply yarn. Each skein is about 400 yards and labeled with the picture of the sheep who produced it. When ordering please specify how many skeins and from which sheep: Lily, Holly or Mistletoe. Lily and Mistletoe's yarn is worsted weight. Holly comes in sports weight or worsted weight. Makes a great gift for the yarn-lover in your life.
