Pasture Raised Chicken Pre-Order

We are currently taking pre-orders for whole chickens picked up fresh from the farm.

We raise Red Rangers, the more flavorful Poulet Nu breed.  We came to the conviction that we needed to be raising a bird that was bred to live a comfortable life.  The Cornish crosses are a hybrid that have been created to grow quickly in confinement, but they cannot reproduce on their own and frequently die from heart attacks or broken legs from their rapid growth.  Even on pasture, they live a painful existence and struggle to even survive.

Red Rangers on the other hand are beautiful birds who grow well but much more slowly and naturally.  We think you will be pleased with the taste as well.  The cost will be $5.95/lb with a 5% discount for ordering 10 or more birds on the same pickup date.  Our commitment to you is that we will raise these birds humanely from beginning to end.  We will not make compromises in quality of care, housing, feed or treatment of the animals at any time.  We are certified organic with the state of Washington, but we strive to rise far above the accepted

standards for organic.

Chickens will be sold on a first-ordered basis with the order being place when the deposit is received.

Order 10 or more birds on the same pickup date, and we will give you a 5% discount off your order.

Order Chicken now

Please enclose a $5.00 deposit for each chicken ordered.  By ordering, you are committing to pick up your chickens on the specified pickup date between 3:00 and 6:00pm.  Please bring a cooler or other carrying container large enough for the number of chickens you’ve ordered.  If you let us know ahead of time that you will not be able to pick up your fresh chicken on the pickup date, we have made arrangements with a local custom butcher to allow you to pick up your frozen chickens later in the week.  If you don't show up to pick up your birds, you are forfeiting your deposit.  On the other hand, if we are unable to provide your chickens (for example if we lost chickens to predators), we will completely refund your deposit.
